- I’ve got a business partner >

I’ve got a business partner, Sheldon, but we don’t have a 50/50 split. I’m not sure about other businesses, but I think it’s important not to split equity down the middle. You need to have somebody that, when it hits the fan, turns round and makes the decisions. I’m the majority shareholder, so I try to include people as much as possible, but at the end of the day if a decision has to be made quick, it’s better to have one decision maker who listens to everyone with experience and then makes a decision.

The partnership though has worked fantastically well. Sheldon is very good at everything that I’m not, and vice versa. We fit together really well and we’ve both got the same ambitions to grow the business. Having the same drive and direction as well as opposite skills has helped us enormously.
