An idea of starting my own lingerie business in Newcastle had always been in the back of my head. I just never thought I’d actually do it.
I was a Geography teacher at Prudhoe Community High School but was only on a temporary contract and no Geography jobs were coming up in the area. I was having dinner with my boyfriend and business partner, Paul, and we started chatting about starting our own business. A few glasses of white wine later and we had been on the Companies House website and searched the internet for vacant shops in Newcastle.
I’m a very impulsive person so once the idea was in my head that was it! It’s probably not advisable to rush into starting your own business like I did but the feedback I’ve had about the boutique so far has been very positive, so fingers crossed!
