After completing a four year Media & Computing degree at Sunderland University I started to look for opportunities in the region to work in the film industry. I struggled; there was very little in the area with the majority of jobs unsurprisingly found down in London.
One afternoon while me and my friend, and now business partner Matthew, were whinging about the lack of opportunities we came up with the concept of a digital film production company, providing different types of niche markets with a film production service.
At the time we said we had no choice, but looking back I'd say our main motivation was the overriding feeling that our skills would go to waste pursuing the industry standards. We wanted to change the way the industry worked and begin breaking down traditional ideas and methods.
In 2005 we created YourFilm, creating films for business of all sizes, working to match their budget.
