" I was about fifteen when I knew I wanted to run my own business. I’m not sure why – it’s just something I always wanted to do. I came up with hundreds of ideas for both products and services. When I couldn’t sleep, I’d get out of bed and sit down with a piece of paper and brainstorm different ideas.
I’m quite creative in a sense, I don’t feel I’m an academic person, but more hands on. I chose to do ‘A’ levels in business, information technology and design technology as those were the subjects I felt I had the most talent in, and enjoyed the most.
I decided to carry on my education and chose a degree in Marketing Management at Newcastle University, as I felt it would give me the knowledge to help me set up in business and the time and tools to work out how I would start my business life. I’ve looked at various graduate jobs but the path for me seems to be embedded in business, which is were my passion lies.
