Taking a step back in the business has definitely been a challenge. Before, if there was a decision to be made, even if it was on the slightest thing, it would be me who made it. Now there’s other people who are recruiting other people and making other important decisions in the business.
But you’ve got to able to let that go and give people the skills to make those decisions. My instinct is to do everything because nobody will do it as well as I would. But a) that’s not true and b) you can’t build a business on that basis.
You’ve got to get the right people around you and give them the responsibility to be able to improve and develop your business.
