I had always wanted to start my own business, and the fulfilment that could provide me. I was working at the Siemens Microelectronics plant in North Tyneside, responsible for the implementation and subsequent running of large integrated software applications that were key to running large global businesses.

When the plant was closed, I took my redundancy cheque and started Ascari. I wanted to take all the good practices I had learnt from my 15 years experience in High Technology Manufacturing, and apply that knowledge to other manufacturing related businesses.
